Sponsorship

Print version

Why become a Sponsor? Privileges of Being a Sponsor List of Current Sponsors

What will you gain from being a sponsor?

The information that you could get on cardiovascular diseases would allow you to get comparative health information and understand differences in the prevalence of cardiovascular diseases throughout the European countries, as well as differences in the availability and use of cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Applicability of the results of clinical trials

Get data on the clinical profile of the patients included that reflects the reality of the practice and investigate the application of the results of clinical trials on medical practice. Clinical trials have restrictive inclusion criteria that select the population of patients treated. You will be able to compare the profile of the patients of clinical trials to the data observed in the survey.

Data on disease management strategies

Analyse the outcome of different disease management strategies. You will be able to study the concomitant treatment of your product and observe the most general used treatment of the disease.

Rationale for the choice of a treatment

Understand the rationale for use of procedures and medical treatments. You will understand ‘why’ and ‘why not’ procedures, devices or drugs are used to diagnose or treat the patients. It is an ‘active observation’ of the clinical practice.

Relevant data

The data will be published in peer reviewed medical journals (main publication: European Heart Journal). The data will be recognized, referenced and publicly reviewed by opinion leaders in their field of expertise. Today, a company can use published clinical trials data to register and promote a product (in the frame of your approved labelling). Tomorrow, you will use two types of published data for its promotion and business development: clinical trials and Euro Heart Survey data.

As an example, the survey on coronary prevention called EuroAspire II is published in The Lancet and the European Heart Journal (April 2001).

European expertise

Benefit from the experience and expertise of a European expert network in the field of cardiology. Each meeting is an occasion to acquire knowledge on the understanding and priorities of the disease management by leading experts in cardiology.

Real practice compared to Guidelines

Get data on the diagnosis and management of a specific disease at the national and European level, with the possibility to compare the observed treatment to the current guidelines of the ESC. For your product class, you can compare the real practice observed and recorded by an independent medical organization to the official Guidelines for diagnosis and treatment.
