For the ESC Congress 2008, Oxford Journals, the main ESC Publisher, have kindly prepared two presentations for delegates that help explain key topics related to journals, as well as one-to-one demonstrations from their stand.
More information is provided below, but for the full details, please attend the presentations themselves (or wait until after the Congress when they shall be published here!).
Choosing the right journal to publish your research
When choosing in which journal to publish your research, there are many factors to take into account such as the scope and quality of the journal; who are the readers; and also the time taken for your paper to be reviewed and published. Members of the Oxford Journals’ Editorial team talk to you about these aspects and more, also what the ESC Journals can offer.
Your article post acceptance, including author rights and responsibilities
Have you ever wondered what happens to your articles once they have been accepted? Oxford Journals tell you about the production process of your article from acceptance to publication and what rights you have as an author, including some discussion about depositing articles in online repositories like PubMed Central.
Online submission to the ESC Journals
At the Oxford Journals stand are demonstrations on how to submit your articles to the ESC Journals using the online submission system, "Editorial Manager". Colleen Wray from Oxford Journals guides you through the process and answers any questions that you may have.
