Cardiovascular Round Table

CRT

The Cardiovascular Round Table (CRT) is a strategic forum for discussions between senior ESC members and selected pharmaceutical, device and equipment industries, active in the cardiovascular field. 

MISSION

The mission of the CRT is to provide a political platform to achieve widespread recognition of the importance of cardiovascular health in Europe.

TASK FORCES 

A new direction and focus is being defined for the CRT. New project groups will be set up in replacement of the Taskforces below, which were active from 2001-2006.

The CRT is composed of four active Task Forces (TF), which are co-chaired by one senior ESC member and one senior industry member. Agenda and work programmes are defined jointly. One Task Force - TF 3 - has been wrapped up as its objectives have been achieved.   

• TF 1 REGULATORY AFFAIRS: 
  Dialogue between the ESC, European regulatory experts and the Industry
  
  
• TF 2 PATIENT ACCESS AND REIMBURSEMENT: 
  Investigating factors limiting quality and equity in cardiovascular care in Europe
  
  
• TF 4 CARDIOVASCULAR PREVENTION: 
  Development of tools to assess cardiovascular risk and to disseminate key prevention messages
  
  
• TF 5 CLINICAL RESEARCH IN EUROPE: 
  Highlighting the value of clinical research in Europe to academia, politicians, public and press
