Mission Statement

The purpose of the International Conference of Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Imaging
(ICNC) is to promote and further the cause of Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT through the organisation of an international scientific and educational meeting. The meeting usually takes place biannually in the Spring.

Sponsoring Organisations:

  • American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC)
  • ESC Working Group on Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac Computed Tomography (ESC-WGNC)
  • European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM)

Organisation of the ICNC meeting consists of:

  • Meeting Co-chairs (2)
  • Programme committees co-chair (3)
  • Programme committee
  • Host Committee
  • Fund raising chair
  • Organising and support staff

Nomination ICNC Meeting Co-chairs

The 2 meeting co-chairs are appointed by the sponsoring organisations during or immediately after the ICNC meeting:
1 Co-Chair appointed by ASNC
1 Co-Chair appointed by ESC-WGNC or EANM

The 2 Co-Chairs have broad responsibility for the meeting and appoint the following persons/committees:

  • Programme Co-Chairs: 3 chairs, representing ASNC, the ESC-WGNC and the EANM
  • Programme committee

Consisting of:

• Programme Core Group e.g. clinical, experimental / basic, and instrumentation on basis of expertise
• Advisors to the programme committee with
broad international representation, e.g. International Council of ASNC

  • Fund raising chair: appointed by the Meeting Co-Chairs

  • Host Committee chair:
  • local nuclear cardiologist / nuclear physician who selects his own committee members

  • Organising/Support Staff

The actual organisation, logistical and administrative support of the meeting is provided by a professional congress group.
Immediately after each ICNC meeting, the new meeting Co-Chairs solicit bids from third parties to organise of the next ICNC meeting. The Co-Chairs, in consultation with the sponsoring societies, select a professional company on the basis of the comparative merits of competitive bids.
Contracts with the selected company are signed by each of the 3 sponsoring organisations.
