Cambridge Theranostics develops evidence-based natural products that can improve heart health.  The company has focused its efforts on developing products that can prevent the damaging oxidation of lipoproteins that leads to heart attacks and stroke, and on understanding the cause of that damage.  Our first product, ATERONON™, harnesses the key ingredient of the ‘Mediterranean diet’, which has long been known to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.

With a wide color LCD display and integrated thermal printer, Fitmate MED allows user to perform tests without a computer.  PC software is also available with full features for data management, trends analysis and professional reporting.

Fitmate MED can interface with conventional Stress testing ECGs. COSMED portable PC-ECG line includes Quark T12x (telemetry mode) and Quark C12x (with patient cable).

Interdisciplinary education and training programmes in Cardiovascular Health and Disease Prevention. Part-time, full-time and distance(blended)learning options are available for Short Courses,a Certificate of Advanced Study and a full Masters programme. Our programmes are aimed at all healthcare professionals with a role in prevention of cardiovascular disease, such as physicians, nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, physical activity specialists, pharmacists, psychologists, occupational therapists, sports scientists, health promotion and public health specialists. Students gain knowledge of, and experience in, the theory and clinical application of evidence-based preventive cardiology practice. The programme covers the complete spectrum of preventive cardiology, from patients with established atherosclerotic disease and the relatives of patients with premature atherosclerotic disease, to asymptomatic people, including those with diabetes, who are at high multifactorial risk.

The MSc and CAS programmes include a taught component which is combined with online learning, enabling students to work flexibly around other commitments. The MSc programme additionally includes a clinical practice component and a research component. Clinical placements are completed across key areas of preventive cardiology practice – e.g. cardiovascular risk reduction clinics, cardiac rehabilitation, diabetes and heart failure – providing the opportunity for students to be immersed in the practicalities of current service delivery, rather than learning about only the theory.
