Apoteket AB is until the 1 of July 2009, a Swedish state owned monopoly company. After that date the market will be opened to other actors. Apoteket runs 880 community pharmacies all over the country that offer prescription drugs, self-care drugs and
natural remedies together with a quality controlled range of other health products related to lifestyle, and health. About 100 pharmacies offer today the possibility to have a blood pressure waist and body composition check up, as one way to get control and to promote a healthy heart. This will be demonstrated on the stand. The future carries many new possibilities in this area and Apoteket will be one of the important players.

AtCor Medical develops, produces and distributes the SphygmoCor® family of products for non-invasive assessment of the cardiovascular system and autonomic function. SphygmoCor® Px provides non-invasive assessment of central pressure and key
parameters characterising arterial function. Aortic Augmentation Index and Central Pulse Pressure are recognized parameters related to cardiovascular risk. SphygmoCor® Vx measures carotid-femoral Pulse Wave Velocity, the gold standard for arterial
stiffness. It is a powerful clinical tool for monitoring the arterial physiology changes driving the CV risk in renal patients.
SphygmoCor® is used in research and clinical settings in hypertension, nephrology, cardiology, diabetes, pregnancy and others and was used in the recent CAFÉ and Strong Heart studies.
