EAE General Assembly
The EAE General Assembly of the European Association of Echocardiography (EAE) will take place on Friday 11 December from 10:00 to 11:00 in Room TENERIFE.
The EAE will take the opportunity to report on recent activities and new initiatives.

Visit us on the EAE/ESC stand and find out more about EAE activities including membership, accreditation exams, new laboratory accreditation, educational courses, research grants, the European Journal of Echocardiography, and EUROECHO 2010, to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark from 8 to 11 December.
Get information on all ESC products and services, such as Journals and the ESC Congress 2010, to be held in Stockholm, Sweden from 28 August to 1 September.
EAE Members’ Lounge
The EAE Members’ Lounge is an exclusive area providing all EAE members 2009 with a pleasant and cosy environment to meet with colleagues, read emails or simply enjoy a cup of coffee.
Access is reserved for 2009 EAE members only. Located on Level 1.

EAE Accreditation Examinations

Take advantage of your presence at EUROECHO 2009 to sit one of the three accreditation exams organised by the EAE. The accreditation process provides formal European recognition of your practical experience and knowledge in 3 different areas:

All three exams will take place in the EXAM Room, Level 1. Onsite enrolment is welcome, subject to availability:
- On the EAE/ESC stand during the Exhibition opening hours only.
- Directly at the EXAM Room, 1 hour prior to the exam (30 minutes before the TEE examination).
Registration to the Congress is not a prerequisite for enrolment.

E-Logbook
The EAE launched at EUROECHO 2008 its new tool for TTE candidates: the E-Logbook. This year again, demonstrations will be provided on-site on how to submit a logbook for TTE as well as all aspects of the E-Logbook. For more information, please visit the EAE/ESC stand (N° B9) in the Exhibition Area, Level 0.
Echocardiographic Laboratory Accreditation
New this year! In 2009 following the success of the individual accreditation, the EAE has launched the
Laboratory Accreditation in Transthoracic, Transesophageal and Stress Echocardiography. The EAE aims to set a European standard in laboratory practice and patient care.
Practical demonstrations and explanation on how to apply for laboratory accreditation will be provided during the congress.
