Language
The official language of the congress is English. Unless specified in the title, all lectures and presentations will be held in English only. No translation is provided.
The official language in Munich is German, though English is widely spoken.
Baggage Check in at the Messe Muenchen
A service counter is available at the West Entrance of the Congress Centre. Services offered include:
- Baggage drop*: Check in your luggage before going to the airport.
Please keep in mind that luggage needs to be registered / dropped at the service counter in Entrance West at least 2 hours prior to take off.
- Helpdesk for lost luggage or damaged luggage
- Sale of flight tickets
- Changing of flight tickets already issued
- Helpdesk for questions on Miles & More
Those services are only offered for customers of the below listed airlines:
Condor (DE), SAS (SK), Austrian Airlines (OS), Tyrolean (VO), Spanair (JK), Air Dolomiti (EN), Eurowings (EW), Cimber Air (QI), Augsburg Airways (IQ), LOT Polish Airlines (LO), British Midland (BD) - (No baggage drop possible) *Exception: baggage drop for flights to the US and all flights operated by British Midland is not possible onsite.
Safety
All bags are subject to inspection. Take all personal effects with you when leaving a lecture room. Security guards are present for your safety.
Bank
Reisebank is located on the West Entrance and along the express way 1st Floor at Hall B4. Sparkasse is located on the East Entrance, close to the escalator. The official currency in Germany is the Euro (€). Payment in other currencies will not be accepted. Exchange rate on 13 December, 2007 : 1 EUR=1.47 USD
Business Centre
Printing, copying and other office requirements can be handled at the Business Centre located in Zone C - Ground Floor.
Left-Luggage and cloakroom

Left-luggage and cloakroom are located in the Registration Hall (Main Entrance). Cloakroom is public access. |
Lost and found
Lost and found items can be recovered at the main Information point located in the Registration Hall (Main Entrance).

Don't miss the Time Out Café and Lounge in Zone C - 1st floor, for a particularly quiet and relaxing break. Visit the snack bar to get a bite to eat and then settle down for a while in the adjoining lounge. |

Photographing or filming scientific sessions or meetings is prohibited on the Congress and exhibition premises (except with prior specific permission of the ESC). The ESC reserves the rights to video all presentations of the ESC 2008. |
