Important Congress Details to Make Note of.
With the ESC Congress approaching fast, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you of some important details we think you should make a note of.
The full Scientific Programme can be reviewed online here.
Innovations in this year's programme include a new tutorial to help you further your career. Entitled: "How to Apply for a European Union Research Grant," it will be given by Dr. V. Dambrauskaite on Monday 1 September from 10:15 to 10:45 in the Algiers room in Zone C.
All poster presenters are encouraged to upload their poster presentation electronically here. It will then be made available for electronic consultation together with oral abstract and pre-arranged programme presentations on the e-library PCs in the Poster Area (Zone B4). Thanks to the e-library, delegates can consult all of the oral and poster presentations given throughout this Congress, as well as the oral and poster presentations held in last year's event. Of course, submitting your poster for electronic consultation does not replace the traditional paper presentation.
Please make sure you bring your hand-held devices (telephones and pocket devices) to Munich and pick up the very latest guides at the "Programme on the go" stand in the registration area.
To help make your visit to Munich and the Congress as pleasurable and easy as possible, all of the latest information is always available online, including getting to and from the congress, tourist information, facilities in the congress centre, invitation letters, opening times and much more.
The ESC gratefully expresses its recognition to all our industry partners for their support of the ESC Congress 2008 and you can discover the variety of activities organised by industry partners here. We invite ESC participants to experience the Exhibition on-site in Munich and you may start planning your visit by consulting the Exhibition Interactive map in July here.
There will also be ample opportunity to relax during the Congress. Don't miss the opportunity to reserve your seat for the ESC Concert to be held on Sunday 31 August 2008 at 20:00 in the Residenz München Palace. The detailed programme can be found on the ESC Congress 2008 website. Seating is limited and advance booking is highly recommended. Please use the registration form for advance booking.
So be sure to browse through the ESC Congress 2008 website and we look forward to seeing you in Munich!
