Language
The official language of the congress is English. All lectures and presentations will be held in English only. No translation is provided.
The official language in Munich is German, though English is widely spoken.
Safety:
All bags are subject to inspection. Security guards are present for your safety. Please take all personal effects with you when leaving a lecture room.
Medical care
Participants in need of medical treatment should contact the First Aid Point located between the Speakers Service Centre and Registration.

Visual reproduction
Photographing or filming scientific sessions or meetings is prohibited on the Congress and exhibition premises (except with prior specific permission of the ESC). The ESC reserves the rights to video all presentations of the ESC 2008.
No smoking
For the comfort and health of all participants, smoking is strictly prohibited in the building and in the Atrium outside Halls A1-A4 & B1-B4.
Business Centre
There are two business centres at your disposal. One in Zone C and the other (IBC) outside Zone B3.
Letter Box
It is located in the Registration Area, next to a stamp vending machine.

Many Info Points are located throughout the venue, ESC Staff are here to help you so don’t hesitate to ask for assistance.

Bank
The Reisebank is located in the West Entrance and along the express way, 1st floor above Hall B4.
The Sparkasse is located in the East Entrance.
Additionally, there are 3 ATMS, at the West Entrance, at the East Entrance and above Zone B4, as well as at the U-Bahn station.
Further banking facilities are available in the “Riem Arcaden” Shopping Centre.
The official currency in Germany is the Euro (€). Payment in other currencies will not be accepted.
Left-Luggage and cloakroom
Left-luggage and cloakroom are located in the Registration Area (Main Entrance). Cloakroom is public access.
Lost and found items can be recovered at the Lost & Found located in the Registration Area.
Shops
A convenience store is located in the Registration Area.
The “Riem Arcaden” Shopping Centre is located next to the U-Bahn entrance «Messestadt-West».
