Gaudi in Barcelona

Barcelona’s most famous and brilliant modernist architect, Antoni Gaudí (1852-1926), built his best works in Barcelona; this tour will take you to the most emblematic buildings.
The tour will take place on:
August 29th, 30th, 31st and September 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Remarks :
Tour not suitable for passengers with wheelchairs or those with walking difficulties.

Gourmet Tour
(approx. 3 hours) |

A walking tour that combines history and gastronomy, including a walk in the Old town and La Rambla, where you will visit La Boquería, the most famous food market in Barcelona.
The tour will include a stop at one of the most emblematic pastry shops in the area, Escribà and in a unique tea room in the Gothic district, Caelum.
The tour will take place on:

MNAC & CAIXA Forum Museums
(approx. 4 hours) |

The MNAC embraces all the arts (sculpture, painting, drawing, engraving, posters, photography and coinage) and explores the general history of Catalan art from the Romanesque period to the mid 20th Century.
The CAIXA Forum is a masterpiece of the Art Nouveau Period; the architect Puig i Cadafalch designed it to be a factory for textile production named Casaramona. The bank La Caixa acquired the building and in 1992 it was decided to return this structure of great artistic value to Barcelona and to the country for social, cultural and educational purposes.

Girona and Figueres

GIRONA is located 100 km. north of Barcelona. It is divided in two by the river Onyar, which cuts through the heart of the city.
FIGUERES, located in the Alt Empordá, is internationally known for being the birthplace of Salvador Dalí.

General Conditions:
Minimum number of participants required to run a tour are indicated in each tour listing. IBEROservice reserves the right to modify dates or times for logistical reasons.
- Prices may be subject to change for reasons beyond the control of IBEROservice (change of prices in entrance fees etc.)
- Cancellations received before 15 August 2009 will be refunded except for a 15 € handling charge
- For cancellations received after 15 August 2009 the payment will not be refunded.
- All cancellations must be made in writing.
- All refunds due will be made after the congress.
- All tours will include official English-speaking guides
- Vouchers will be handed over at the Excursions Desk at the Congress.
