 My Research Presented at ICNC10:
A Dedicated Abstract Based Programme

Present your research to an international audience made of colleagues, peers, faculty, students, industry representative in all related fields of Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT and actively contribute to this anniversary scientific programme. Share the knowledge and enjoy the interaction

FOCUS ON YOUNG INVESTIGATORS

Congratulations to the six Young Investigator Award Finalists who will be competing this year for a prestigious award : a joint initiative with the City of Amsterdam – with the opportunity to win a € 5000 grant -  Surely a session not to be missed !

Here are the selected finalists and the research they will present :

> Pericardial fat volume correlates with coronary vasomotion -  V Dunet (Lausanne,CH)

> Comparison of spotty calcifications on multidetector computed tomography coronary angiography and vulnerable plaque characteristics on virtual histology intravascular ultrasound -  JE van Velzen (Leiden,NL)

> Coronary plaque imaging in patients with unstable angina pectoris using dual gated [18F]-FDG PET/CT - E Lankinen (Turku,FI)

> Prognostic value of cardiac hybrid imaging integrating single-photon emission computed tomography with computed tomography coronary angiography - A P Pazhenkottil (Wetzikon,CH)

> Prognostic value of multidetector computed tomography coronary angiography in a large population of patients with unknown cardiac disease but suspected coronary artery disease: a 52-months follow-up  - D Andreini (Milan,IT)

> Is there an association between clinical outcome of patients referred for preoperative evaluation prior to noncardiac surgery and appropriateness of referral for SPECT MPI? A.S Koh (Singapore,SG)

Young Researcher Initiative

Poster Mentor Programme for Young Researchers
The selection committee would like to acknowledge all the young investigators who have submitted their research and were selected for Poster Presentation.
Faculty members, Experts in each topics, Committee members have reserved time to come and meet all young researchers and discuss their study in the poster area.
If you have submitted your abstract under the option Young Investigator Award and the first author - presenter is under 35 years of age  Collect the signage which will identify your poster in the area and allow mentors to come and meet you. !

The committee would like to thank all mentors for their enthiusiasm for this new initiative, launched by Programme Committee Chairs ( Prof Beanlands and Prof Marcassa)

Robert Beanlands: " I am a poster mentor because young investigators are our future.  If we can contribute to constructive review of the science from young investigators and encourage them to continue to pursue thier work, we can help to ensure that imaging research will continue to be strong and facilitate our ultimate goal of improving care and outcomes for our patients."

  Featured Oral Abstract Session
Five abstracts will be presented and the session will be concluded by an expert review.
A challenging format designed to enhance the abstract session to benefit presenters and audience.  Original scientific findings will be presented and discussed
Come and listen to the latest findings and hear what the experts' think about it

Late Breaking Trials Session: b
ecause science, research and great trials are always in the making, we invite you to submit your Late Breaking Trial for presentation at ICNC10. Accepted Late Breaking Clinical Trials will be featured in a dedicated oral session. The session is designed to allow maximum interaction between the trialists ,

Meet , Exchange and Learn: The Poster Area is your Interaction Platform

A dedicated and professional audience. Meet colleagues, peers and researchers from all continents. Exchange knowledge and experience.
Two poster sessions each day with an hour coffee-break to allow sufficient viewing time.

Moderated Poster Sessions
Animated by experts in the topics. Ten posters have been selected for oral presentation in the moderated poster area during these sessions.

A carefully planned scientific programme scheduled to ensure ample time can be dedicated to reviewing the research presented as posters, opportunities to meet the presenters and discuss findings.
