Heart Failure Association of the ESC
The Heart Failure Association of the ESC (HFA of the ESC) was founded to create a broad European platform where individuals interested and actively involved in managing the growing burden of heart failure can interact, network and participate in our numerous initiatives and activities.
Over 2,100 practicing cardiologists, basic scientists, nurses and members of the industry joined us in our mission “to improve quality of life and longevity, through better prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart failure, including the establishment of networks for its management, education and research”.
Meetings at Heart Failure 2008
The HFA of the ESC is running various meetings at the Heart Failure 2008 Congress, as listed below:
HFA General Assembly, Monday 16 June, 10:00 - 11:00, Auditorium
Awards Ceremony, Monday 16 June, 16:00, Auditorium
Presidents' meeting and dinner, Friday 13 June, 17:00 - 19:00
Using the Heart Failure 2008 Congress as a springboard for networking with colleagues from organisations with similar objectives, a meeting with all Presidents of National Heart Failure Societies will be held on 13 June 2008 from 17:00 to 19:00. The meeting aims at achieving common goals and improving the management of patients with heart failure in Europe.
ESC/HFA stand (2-4)
Come and meet us on the ESC/HFA stand, where our staff will be available to answer questions and provide you with the latest information on the Heart Failure Association and the European Society of Cardiology overall.
You can directly apply for HFA Membership on the stand, using the interactive terminals in our “membership online” corner; you can pick up your Abstract Book and CD-Rom as well as your Heart Failure Journal.
Join us on the stand to discover all our activities, such as guidelines, journals, educational courses and initiatives, the ESC Congress and the various sub-specialty congresses. We also already have information available on Heart Failure 2009 and members will receive a free pocket guideline, so don’t miss this opportunity and visit our exhibition stand!
