Abstract -based Programme Poster Session Information


The Abstract Results are now available!

Please consult the results and register for EuroPRevent 2008. Agreement forms must be submitted no later than Friday, 29 February.

If you still have questions after consulting the Help and Frequently Asked Questions features, or if you encounter technical problems, please contact us. Support will be available Monday - Friday from 09:00-17:00 (CET).

Once selected, the abstracts will be dispatched into the below four types of sessions:

Oral Sessions Original presentations in the field of prevention are given orally in a lecture room with two experts chairing each session.

Young Investigator Session The six best abstracts from junior investigators will be selected for presentation in Paris, as part of the Young Investigators' session. Candidates must be less than 35 years of age during the time of the congress (1 May 2008) and be willing to present their original work. A panel of experts will judge the competition and select the YIA winner onsite. The winner will be announced during the Closing Ceremony and will receive a certificate and cheque for € 500.

Moderated Poster Sessions Sessions take place during the Healthy Breaks. At each session, Posters which are considered to be of special interest will be assembled in the Poster area. Presenters will be asked to discuss briefly the content of their poster with two moderators in front of an appreciative audience.

Poster sessions Consist of a visual display of research highlights. There are 4 half-days and one whole day of poster displays. Poster presenters are expected to be present at their poster during the healthy break.

  • EJCPR Most Highly Cited Author Award
  • EuroPRevent 2008 Poster Prizes (Prevention & Health Policy, Epidemiology & Public Health, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Sports Cardiology, Exercise Physiology, Basic Science)
