The mission statement of the ESC Council on Cardiovascular Primary Care reflects our need to work in collaboration with all primary care professionals and especially with general practitioners.
The primary care professional has a duty to keep informed on recent findings in diagnosis, treatment and the management of cardiovascular diseases but, very often, they have neither the time nor the funding necessary to attend scientific meetings relating to cardiology.
With its newsletter, the ESC Council on Cardiovascular Primary Care provides useful information on recent developments in the field of cardiology reported in major European meetings.
