Post Doctoral Grants

HOW TO APPLY

The Council on Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions (CCNAP) of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) is committed to mentoring new researchers and building research capacity in Europe.
In 2012 we sponsored four (4) fellowship awards for new post-doctoral researchers and PhD students to attend the 12th Annual Spring Meeting on Cardiovascular Nursing and a post-doctoral seminar held in conjunction with the Spring Meeting. During the seminar a panel of senior researchers in the area of cardiovascular nursing discussed the proposals and advised on, for example, methodology, instruments, networking and publication possibilities.

Each fellowship award was 450 Euros.
Congratulations to the awardees:

    Testimonials from 2011 awardees

For post-doctoral students: your dedicated CCNAP Forum on 17 March at the 12th Annual Spring Meeting on Cardiovascular NursingMartha Mackay, Vancouver :"Participating in the post-doctoral seminar at CCNAP in Brussels last year was very beneficial to me.  The mentors were very engaged with our projects and offered constructive and specific feedback.  As well, meeting cardiovascular nursing colleagues from around the globe and hearing about their current research was enjoyable and stimulating.  Thank you very much to CCNAP for supporting this beneficial program."

Naoko Kato, Tokyo: "I met international cardiovascular nursing colleagues in a seminar on postdoctoral mentoring at the Council on Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions (CCNAP). We exchanged information not only on research but also on the health issues in each country. It was a valuable experience for me. I also received meaningful comments on my study from mentors and the colleagues. This experience has inspired me to make greater efforts in my research to improve the clinical outcomes of cardiovascular disease patients. I am very grateful to CCNAP for giving me this valuable opportunity."
