General Assembly, ESC Congress 2008

The General Assembly provided an opportunity for members to receive reports and information from the CCNAP Board on activities of the Council.  Members were also able to ask questions and there was some lively discussion. The CCNAP thanks everyone who came to its General Assembly during the  ESC Congress 2008 in Munich.

2008 Congress - comments from Christi Deaton, Chair of CCNAP

Congress was a tremendous time for CCNAP as we celebrated two historic “firsts” for the Council, participated in an outstanding programme of planned and abstract sessions, and enjoyed a reception organised by our colleagues in the German Cardiovascular Nurses National Society.

Congress provides the opportunity for collaboration and exchange with other Councils, Working Groups and Associations.  Some of the pre-planned nursing sessions are co-developed with other ESC groups, and nurses contribute to their sessions as well.  This can make Congress sometimes feel overwhelming as well as exciting.  In addition to the full programme, delegates received information about the nursing sessions (pre-planned and abstracts), General Assembly and Nursing Reception to members prior to Congress.

Nursing Reception
A very enjoyable nursing reception was attended by many CCNAP members at the Hofbraukeller on Monday evening.  We thank Guido Kassner and Michael Jacobs of the German Cardiovascular Nursing National Society for organising the reception.
