Purpose
The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to provide advice to the Council on Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions (CCNAP) Board on matters relating to specific topics of cardiovascular care, professional practice, education for cardiovascular nurses and allied professionals, and policy issues. CCNAP also aims to keep track of outstanding professionals that have contributed significantly to the development of cardiovascular nursing and allied professions in Europe and wish for them to serve as a resource within CCNAP.

- encourage appropriate individuals to apply for CCNAP committee and board positions.
- advise the Scientific Programme Committee as to topics and speakers for scientific meetings of the ESC and its constituent bodies.
The Vice-Chair of CCNAP serves as liaison to the Advisory Committee. A representative from the Advisory Committee is elected to serve on the Nominating Committee of CCNAP (2-year term).
