2013 ICNC Young Scientist Award goes to Dr Johanna Silvola

Congratulations to Johanna Silvola from Turku, Finland and colleagues who discovered that a Gallium-68 labeled peptide which targets vascular adhesion protein -1 is accumulated in atherosclerotic plaques. These investigators believe that it might be a novel, promising PET tracer to detect plaque inflammation.

Our Working Group organizes brainstorming meetings, contributes to ESC annual congress and participates in the organization of the International Conference of Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Imaging (ICNC).
