Coronary artery disease (CAD) undoubtedly remains the number one cause of death in the industrialised countries. In recent years, CMR trials, like MR-IMPACT, demonstrated an excellent diagnostic performance in detection of CAD. In addition, CMR techniques have been refined over the years to allow characterisation of cardiomyopathies and to improve the work-up of patients with chronic heart failure. • Advanced Cardiac Imaging for the Interventionist 2009 - London (UK)
The 2nd Advanced Cardiac Imaging Course for the Interventional Cardiologists was a morning course dedicated to cardiologists, cardiac imagers and cardiac surgeons from fellow to consultant. Advanced cardiac imaging provides the means for understanding the disease process and designing the interventional strategy. There is therefore an important need for interventionist to be able
to understand the different imaging technologies and integrate them into
    their daily practice.
