ESC Rules and regulations for Working Groups

The ESC is a non profit organisation, i.e. an Association managed under the 1901 French law.
Working Groups are one of the main ESC Constituent Bodies and are acting on behalf of the ESC in their domain of scientific expertise. The activities of a Working Group are a measure of the success of any Working Group.
Working Groups have full independence with regard to all scientific and medical matters in their domain of scientific expertise.
Working Groups are part of the ESC legal structure and consequantly do not have an independent legal identity. They are therefore requested to follow the ESC Corporate rules in their activities.

  • Any commitment of the WORKING GROUP commits the ESC
  • Any liability of the WORKING GROUP is a liability of the ESC

Those rules and reporting guidelines are described in these 4 parts:

Part 1: Role of a Working Group
& Nucleus Members

Part 2: ESC Legal Status and
Corporate Financial Rules

Part 3: Corporate ID,
Organisation of Meetings &
Congresses

Part 4: Web Sites & Online tools
