The First Congress on Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases:
The Annual Conference of the Working Group on Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases, held on 13- 15 October 2011, in Lisbon - Portugal

Focusing on the key contemporary issues in myocardial and pericardial diseases, the meeting has included the current state of the art management of myocardial dysfunction, aetiology and pathogenesis of inherited cardiac disease, and the role of current and merging multimodality imaging.
