Diseases of the myocardium and pericardium are a diverse group of conditions with protean manifestations and complex aetiologies.
The aim of the ESC Working Group Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases is to improve diagnosis and treatment of heart muscle and pericardial disease, to promote understanding of these disorders among cardiologists, and to stimulate research and educational programmes throughout Europe.
