Computers in Cardiology

The scope of the ESC Working Group Computers in Cardiology encompasses the wide area of specialised computer methods in cardiovascular image processing (quantitative angiography, IVUS, echocardiography, MR), image fusion, biosignal processing (ECG analysis, arrhythmia detection), signal modelling, databases, and intra- and inter-hospital communication (internet, telemedicine, IHE).

The Working Group provides the perfect infrastructure for scientists from various fields (engineers, physicists and physicians) to interact on new topics and new applications of information technology in cardiology.

The Working Group is highly interdisciplinary. In addition to genuine research efforts of the members, the group provides services to other ESC Working Groups.
