Working Group Acute Cardiac Care

Acute Cardiac Care

Created to foster the scientific and educational activities among the cardiological community in the field of acute cardiac care, the most challenging field of cardiology.

Acute heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, life-threatening arrhythmias and pulmonary embolisms are only some of the diseases we cope with: our aim is to contribute to the advance of knowledge in these fields, to educate physicians and nurses on the best strategies of treatment and to improve the outcome of our patients in the Intensive Cardiac Care Units (ICCUs).

To that end, we run several educational programmes, both in-house and extramural, we organise a biannual scientific congress (next one to be held in October 2008), we are going to run clinical trials as well as outcome research on these subjects, and we take part in the ESC ACS Registry, launched in November 2006.

New contributors are more than welcome to participate to our numerous activities. Please visit our website, the home of ACC community in Europe.

We look forward to welcoming you among our members,

Dr Marco Tubaro FESC, Chairman
