Heart Failure Association (HFA)

Welcome to our website! The Heart Failure Association is an inclusive organisation that wishes to represent all involved in the care of patients with heart failure and any others interested in heart failure in its broadest sense.

Membership is open to anyone from any country. Our activities are detailed on this website and are extensive.
They include the annual spring congress which attracts around 3 000 delegates, along with exhibitors and other participants from industry and comprehensively covers medical, surgical, nursing and scientific aspects of heart failure.
We also have a smaller, select and prestigious, winter basic science meeting.

In addition we have committees and study groups which work the year round initiating and developing multiple different initiatives.

Of course, we also have our separate patient/carer website heartfailurematters.org which I can thoroughly recommend to you. We hope to complete translation of this into German and Spanish this year and looking forward to adding further languages later.

I cannot describe all our activities in this short space but we are always interested in new people with new ideas to help enrich and strengthen our Association. Can I encourage you to join the HFA if you are not a member and if you are already a member to think about joining our committees and study groups (or setting up new study groups)?
Even if you don’t want to join in these formal activities, I am keen to hear from you about ideas how to improve and advance the Association and its activities. Please feel free to contact me with any ideas or feedback you might have. I am particularly keen maintain the success of our spring congress and your thoughts about this would be particularly appreciated.
