Message from the EHRA Board

Thank you for your commitment, membership and continued support to the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) helping us to maintain our position as the leading network in Heart Rhythm.
Many of our members were originally members of one of the two working groups that merged to form this association, and believed enough to join and support this new organisation. Some members are more recent, and we value your input and involvement in all areas of the association.
2009: launch of a yearly membership fee
For those of you who have been members since 2005, you may remember that during the EHRA General Assembly in Prague at the EUROPACE congress in 2005, the majority voted for instoring a membership fee. Although approved, the EHRA board did not implement fees immediately. Today, in 2008 and after extensive discussions within the EHRA Board and with the previous approval from our members, a yearly membership fee will be implemented, effective from January 2009.
The objective is to create a sense of being a member by providing additional privileges to our members and encouraging them to participate in the activities of the Association.
EHRA will offer you two fees:
-
Basic membership fee : 50€ for a one-year membership based on the calendar year
-
Full membership fee: 180€ including a one-year membership and a one-year subscription to the Europace journal (12 issues) calendar year
What are the NEW membership benefits?
- EUROPACE Congress : discount on early registration fee, access to Members lounge, priority housing
- Discount on EHRA Accreditation Exam (15% discount)
- Priority system for Educational and Preparatory courses
- Restricted access to EHRA members Directory, EHRA fellowships and EHRA educational initiatives
- Involvement in the Association activities and committees
And still benefit from current membership benefits:
- Being part of the leading European Network in Heart Rhythm
- Voting rights for EHRA Board elections
- Receiving the EHRA e-newsletter
- Reduced fee to the Europace journal
- Automatic ESC membership benefits
What will happen next?
All EHRA members will be asked whether they want to remain members and will be offered the possibility to renew their membership for 2009. Online registration will open soon.
Current members who decide not to renew their membership will be removed from the membership list at the end of 2008 and will miss current benefits.
For those attending Cardiostim from 18-20 June 2008, please join us at the General Assembly to be held on Friday 20 June from 12:45 to 13:45 – Room Clio 3 (level “Les Muses”).
