The Educational Framework outlined in the figure below provides the backbone to obtaining EHRA accreditation in either the device or the EP tracks.

As part of the Educational Framework, Webinars are organized periodically that allow participants to interact with the speakers during live presentations, and also provides the possibility for affiliates to view the presentations offline at their own convenience.

General cardiologists are offered the possibility to participate in the Case-based arrhythmia and device course.

The Educational committee also endorses scientific meetings as well as affiliates high-quality educational programs organised by external faculty and sponsored by industry educational grants.

A Device course aiming to prepare fellows and cardiologists for the EHRA CP exam is scheduled in Vienna on 8th-10th March 2012. An Advanced EP course will be given at the European Heart House on 23rd-25th February, and a basic EP course is planned in 2012

The upcoming new ESC online educational platform, ESCeL, will also host teaching tracks for allied professionals, both at a basic and advanced level.

Warmest regards,

Hein Heidbuchel
