EuroPCR, our associations' congress, is only two weeks away. The programme structure has changed again and the spectrum of topics presented and discussed has further increased. All aspects of percutaneous intervention will be discussed, the latest trial results will be presented and scrutinised, and most importantly, advances in procedural techniques and best use of new technology will be shown - and taught, hands on!
Most importantly, EACTS (the European Association of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery) has joined the Scientific Committee. The surgical perspective will be incorporated in virtually every session. This reflects the ever expanding field of percutaneous cardiovascular Interventions and their impact on patient care. This also gives an idea of the variety of sub-specialities EAPCI covers.
Our
membership continues to increase and we have now formed a strong community of professionals with an interest in percutaneous interventions. Whether your main interest is in coronary intervention, peripheral work, structural heart and valvular disease or imaging, EAPCI welcomes you and offers a forum dealing with clinical, but also educational and not least political issues relevant to your field. Are you a trainee in percutaneous intervention ? Are you a trainer? Would you like to be in the loop regarding the trend towards a European Accreditation for Interventional Cardiology? Would you like to be part of the process?
Make your voice heard by joining us at the
General Assembly held on
Tuesday 13 May 18:30 - 19:30!
We very much look forward to seeing you at EuroPCR in Barcelona
William Wijns, EAPCI President.
