Prof Di Mario welcomed the ACI 2011 delegates

Prof C. Di Mario today opened the 2011 Annual Congress of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS): Advanced Cardiovascular Intervention (ACI) jointly with Prof Mark de Belder, BCIS President.  This is a first step towards a stronger collaboration between EAPCI and the Interventional Working Groups.

Prof C. Di Mario thanked Prof M. de Belder for inviting him to welcome the delegates of the 2011 ACI Congress on behalf of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions.  He advised attendees to be proud of the congress due to the quality of the presentations, the live cases and more than anything else, the quality of the lively, informative discussions.

Prof C Di Mario mentioned that since its creation in 2006 the EAPCI has seen a large growth in membership and in the quality and importance of the projects carried out.

Closing Prof Di Mario encouraged attendees to provide their continued support to the EAPCI to ensure the strength of the association for future years.
