"Scientific programme endorsed by EAPCI, a registered branch of the European Society of Cardiology"
The EAPCI identified 2 different types of scientific events and/or educational courses it may seek to endorse and has defined courses criteria (in addition to the above pre-requisites)
Type 1 - criteria:
- Event with the involvement of EAPCI in the scientific programme (and planning)
- Participation of at least one EAPCI Board Member or Committee in the opening and/or the closing Ceremony to present the EAPCI
- Involvement of at least one EAPCI Board Member or Committee in Lectures
Type 2 - criteria
- Event organised by a National Society and/or National working Group in the field of interventional cardiology**
** although an event in the field of Interventional Cardiology organised bya National Society and/or National working Group would automatically qualify for endorsement by EAPCI, a formal request of endorsement should be submitted.
Pre-requisites
In order to be eligible to apply, the EAPCI Board has set the pre-requisites as follows:
- No competition with EuroPCR and ESC Annual Congress
- High-level scientific content, free of biais
- Course / event in english (or translation in English available)*
- Recognised educational and scientific value upon the EAPCI Core Curriculum
- EBAC accreditation is mandatory. Thus, educational needs, control of the attendance and evaluation of the event should follow the EBAC rules
* an exception will be made for THE annual course / congress of each Interventional Working Group
Procedure
Step 1
When looking for EAPCI endorsement, one should submit a request online 3 months in advance (minimum). Access the online form here
The following documents should be part of the request:
- A formal written request for endorsement
- A copy of the (preliminary) programme
- Website/registration information of the event
- A brief (5-10 lines) outline of the event (this will be published on the EAPCI website if the endorsement is granted)
Step 2
Upon reception by EAPCI of the request, and after preliminary evaluation, an acknowledgment letter and/or e-mail will be sent, mentioning the request number and detailing mission information for the evaluation, of any.
Step 3
After EAPCI has reviewed all information, a final decision letter will be sent to the requestor of the endorsement by EAPCI.
If the event qualifies for endorsement by EAPCI, the relevant logo(s) will be forwarded in professional electronic format along with the relevant text to be included. Please note that prior to final pdf posting or actual printing of any announcement, preliminary or final programmes, EAPCI kindly requests that proofs of the documents are forwarded to us simply to ensure that the technical requirements (including analysis, colours, resolutions, etc...) of the logo(s( have been represented by the graphic artists used by each conference organiser.
