Frank Sonntag, Chairman of Council for Cardiology Practice (CCP). |
The Council for Cardiology Practice is established as a Council of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) according to the Statutes and By-Laws of the ESC. The Council was formally created at the General Assembly of the ESC on 4 September 2001 in Stockholm, Sweden.
The Council for Cardiology Practice was created to bring together practicing cardiologists with common interest in the field of cardiovascular medicine, to promote education and training of cardiologists, and to develop standards for training, continuous education and professional conduct.
The first collaborative educational tool of the Council is the E-Journal of Cardiology Practice. The E-Journal consists of a three-line message, which are sent each week to cardiologists via e-mail. The message is written by leading experts in Europe, summarising an important topic in cardiology.
News and Events
The first newsletter of the Council for Cardiology Practice was sent to members in January 2008. All private practice cardiologists are invited to subscribe to the newsletter (absolutely free!) and submit articles to share with colleagues in Europe. Contact councils@escardio.org
