Associations

The Associations are registered branches of the European Society of Cardiology. They can be derived from Working Groups or from professional or sub-speciality organisations existing outside of the ESC. Their creation is in order to promote the development of a defined area of expertise in cardiovascular medicine and/or research.
European Association of Echocardiography (EAE)
The European Association of Echocardiography is one of the first ESC Associations. It was officially launched in December 2003 and was created from the now dissolved ESC WG on Echocardiography.
