Pathogenesis of Atherosclerosis

Print version

G. Pasterkamp

Dear Colleagues,

The mission of the Working Group on Pathogenesis of Atherosclerosis is to stimulate the scientific and educational activities among the cardiology and vascular biology community in the field of etiology, diagnosis and treatment of atherosclerotic disease.
The scope of our working group members goes beyond the basic science on mechanisms of atherogenesis. Also new therapeutic modalities and the search for surrogate markers for disease (e.g. biomarkers and imaging modalities) are of interest to our working group. The working group operates in a translational field from the bench to the bed and therefore both basic scientists as well as clinicians participate in the activities of the working group.

Best regards,
G. Pasterkamp, Chairman
