Thrombosis

Print version

 Kurt Huber

Dear colleague,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Working Group (WG) on Thrombosis web section.
The goals of our WG are to enhance knowledge of thrombosis in clinical cardiology in Europe and to organise post-graduate education in thrombosis both at the European Congress of Cardiology and beyond. Furthermore it is our interest to stimulate clinical as well as basic research in thrombosis, whereby our special support goes to young investigators in terms of the Young Investigator Award, travel grants and educational grants, respectively.

Moreover, we intend to initiate the development of new preventive and therapeutic tools and to bridge basic science with the clinical practice of cardiology in thrombosis-related areas. Finally, we plan to focus our activities on current clinical practice of cardiology with regard to drugs or treatments on vascular biology and blood vessel-wall interactions.

If you are experienced in the field of thrombosis and interested and willing to actively participate in our activities, please don’t hesitate to contact me or one of our nucleus members. In this case it would be a pleasure to invite you to become an active member of our WG.
But if you are only interested in informations concerning our field, please visit this website as often as you wish. We hope to be able to fill it with interesting and important information.

With best regards
Kurt Huber, chairman
