Pulmonary Circulation and Right Ventricular Function

Membership

The WG aims at providing an open platform for individuals having a special interest in pulmonary vascular diseases and right ventricular function.
The WG has the ambition to support all initiatives from basic science to clinical field, to stimulate debate, to organize education and give management recommendations in the field of pulmonary hypertension and right ventricular function.

Today, the Working Group on Pulmonary Circulation and Right Ventricular Function has 106 members.
Currently, Membership of ESC Working Groups is free.

Candidates

Membership is open to cardiologists, pneumologists, internists, intensive care specialists, paediatricians, cardiothoracic surgeons or rheumatologists.
Members are encouraged to take an active part in the animation of the WG by organizing and participating in its activities, including its nucleus.

How to apply?

Candidates must apply using the new online application form

If you are not yet logged-in into “My ESC”, you are requested to do so before you apply.

- If you do not yet have a “My ESC” account, please click on “Join Now”, which will appear, once you click on the “new online application page”. Create a “My ESC” account is free, click on “Join us”, which will appear, once you click on the “new online application form”.

They should fill in the required information and submit:

  • a brief curriculum vitae including previous and current position,
  • a short description of your interest in the field of the WG,
  • a list of your major publications in peer-review journals (not abstracts), editorials and book chapters.
  • a letter of support from members of the WG

The Chairman will present the applications from suitable new members to the Nucleus for ratification.
Unsuitable applicants (as far as formal requirements are concerned) may be rejected by the Nucleus. In this case, the applicant will be notified by email but there is no obligation to give him/her reasons.

ESC Membership & Fellowship

ESC Membership You are automatically a Member of the European Society of Cardiology if you belong to a Working Group. Therefore you benefit from several advantages.
ESC Fellowship The Fellowship of the European Society of Cardiology is an outstanding honour recognising distinguished scientific, professional, educational or teaching achievements.
