ESC Training and Research Grants

ESC Training and Research Grants

The Committee on Training and Research Grants is composed of eight members, chaired by the Vice President in charge of Associations, Councils and Working Groups, Michel Komajda, FESC, and secretarial assistance is ensured by Susan Del Gaiso.

This year, the Committee selected five Research grants and four Training grants for a total amount of 216,000 Euros. All projects selected were for a one-year duration. In addition to these grants provided by ESC central, a number of grants were funded by the Basic Cardiovascular Science Council, EAPCI,
EHRA, EAE, HFA and the Working Groups on Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Coronary Pathophysiology and Microcirculation, and Thrombosis. The total amount funded by ESC bodies was therefore 465,000 Euros.
