Importance of the Congress and the ESC being in China - this year in Stockholm, at the ESC Congress, China will be made an affiliate society of ESC. Prof. Ferrari also discussed the fact that 2 days before the Great Wall meeting, the ESC will bring to China the highlights of ESC Congress2010: 4 new ESC Guidelines, best of Hot Lines, some clinical cases. Ultimately, whether in China or in Europe, we share the same mission on both continents: improving the health of our patients suffering from cardiovascular disease (CVD).

Prof Freek Verheugt, FESC:
Discusses smoking and the smoking rate in China, which is double to that of the Western world. Smoking cessation for prevention; few smoking regulations, law enforcement not working, - important things that need to be changed.
