New Working Group name: Working Group on e-Cardiology

From the Working Group on Computers in Cardiology to the Working Group on e-Cardiology

At the end of last year, the name of our Working Group changed to Working Group on e-Cardiology.

ESC Working Group on e-Cardiology logoAs explained previously, the change of the name of our Working Group from Computers in Cardiology to e-Cardiology means not only a modern expression of our role but also a broader scope of our activities.

We would like to collaborate not only heavily with the Computing in Cardiology organisation as has been the case for many years, but also closely with other scientific groups among the ESC constituent bodies as well as outside the European Society.

We see our role in providing an umbrella organisation for contacts between biomedical engineering and clinical cardiology covering all the different topics in which cardiology has benefited from electronic and other engineering applications as well as in areas where such a benefit is only presently emerging.
