EACPR endorses the 1st postgraduate qualification in Sports Cardiology

The European Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (EACPR) is pleased to endorse the programme of the first formal postgraduate qualification in the area of sports cardiology,  developed by St George's University of London.

Sports Cardiology

Sports cardiology is a new but rapidly evolving subspecialty in cardiology. The Sports Cardiology Unit at St George’s NHS Foundation Trust is run by world-leading experts in this rapidly advancing area of medicine.

This unique programme, delivered in collaboration with an internationally renowned consortium,  addresses the increasing demand for individuals with an in-depth knowledge of this discipline and gives access to expertise limited to only a few centres around the world.

"This course offers the opportunity to gain a comprehensive range of expertise in Sports Cardiology and cement your practical skills for the evaluation of athletes of different demographics and sporting disciplines, as well as healthy sedentary young individuals and patients with heart disease."

Dr Michael Papadakis, Lecturer in Cardiology, St George’s University of London

Applications are open until 31st July for non-EU residents and until 1 September 2016 for UK and EU residents.
