Its purpose was to give an overview of cardiovascular research in Europe and identify future challenges and opportunities. The conference was organised around the 5 following workshops:
- Future of developments in clinical cardiovascular research
Young scientists in cardiovascular research
- The next 10 years in cardiovascular research
- Needs for infrastructures for cardiovascular research
- Coordination of national research activities
The report from the conference will be delivered to the European Commission to take action.
