Description
The work package n° 4 did mobilise broad support for cardiovascular health promotion and cardiovascular disease prevention via the launch of the European Heart Health Charter. The aim of the Charter is to substantially reduce the burden of cardiovascular diseases in the European Union, EEA and candidate countries and to reduce inequalities/inequities in the disease burden within and between countries.

The Charter was first launched at EU level. Subsequent work includes translations into the languages of the countries of the partners participating in the project. Associated partners involved in the project launched the Charter at national level. This implied contacts with national stakeholders, the organization of national events in the countries of the partners participating in the project. Dissemination was also sought via the European and national press corps.
