33rd Pan-Hellenic Congress of Cardiology

The 33rd Pan-Hellenic Congress of Cardiology will take place in Athens, 1-2 November 2012

Objectives of the Hellenic Cardiological Society:

The Hellenic Cardiological Society (HCS) aims at the enlightenment and development of cardiology in Greece, as well as organising activities and events that take place throughout the year all over Greece.

The Annual National Congress of Cardiology focuses on the exchange of scientific information, encouraging interpersonal contact between Greek cardiologists. The Annual Seminar of the Working Groups provides a more focused view (including registries and guidelines), since proceedings are organised by the 17 Working Groups.

For the Hellenic Cardiological Society, Greece is divided into seven Sections, concentrating on the current situation of cardiology and future regional developments.

The main publications of the HCS are the bimonthly Hellenic Journal of Cardiology and the quarterly HCS Newsletter.

Additionally, it operates an Electronic Library, which may be accessed either by visiting the Hellenic Heart House or through the HCS website.
Other activities fostered by the Hellenic Cardiological Society include yearly grants for research and/or education, and also its Intramural Training Fellowship programme.

The Hellenic Cardiological Society constantly seeks new ways for the advancement of cardiology in Greece, through the development of new inspiring activities.
