The Endorsement of the ESC Guidelines (Full Text and Executive Summary) is always sought from its National Cardiac Societies.
In the case of an endorsement and a translation by a National Society, the ownership of the copyright of the Guidelines remains in the name of the ESC.
ESC National Cardiac Societies have the exclusive right to translate all ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines into their local language, including the full text and their derivitive products.
Translating the Guidelines not only facilitates the dissemination of this vital information to cardiologists and other medical practitioners in your country, it makes the contents more accesbile and in turn, better applied to the patient.
How to go about translating ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines:
Before translating ESC Guidelines into your local language, read the Rules and Translations of ESC Guidelines.
Once you have published your translated document please send the Guidelines team an electronic copy, five paper copies and a link to the site that hosts them.
