Programme overview
The Diploma of Advanced Studies in Cardiac Arrhythmia Management trains future leaders in arrhythmology to deliver state-of-the-art cardiovascular services in the next decade and beyond. DAS-CAM brings together renowned experts, who will cover not only clinical cardiac electrophysiology and device technology, but also the leadership, biostatistics and health economics perspectives. The programme will empower electrophysiologists to fulfil leadership roles as well as regulatory and managerial positions in their hospitals, universities, and other work environments.
The main topics covered:
- Up-to-date cardiac arrhythmology from mechanisms and ECG reading to novel and complex interventions
- Regulatory and societal dimensions of arrhythmia management
- Leadership development
- Cardiovascular biostatistics and Health economics
Professor Panos Vardas
ESC President 2012-2014, Chief Strategy Officer of the European Heart Agency:
“One of the key needs identified by the European Society of Cardiology is the training of future leaders in arrhythmia management and research with a wide view of the societal and economical perspectives.”
Professor Harry Crijns
Past Chair of Cardiology at Maastricht University Medical Centre:
“Graduates of DAS-CAM will understand how value based healthcare includes scientific evidence, health economics, organisational excellence, and value to patients.”
Professor Christophe Leclercq
