Hello, I am Loreena Hill a 1st year PhD student at the University of Ulster and the Belfast Trust. Most of my clinical background has been within Cardiology and I have been a Heart Failure nurse specialist for nearly 10 years. I have experience in setting up and running nurse-led clinics and in nurse prescribing. My current field of interest is End of Life care and ICD deactivation in advanced heart failure. I applied to become a member of the CCNAP Programme Committee as I have enjoyed attending recent conferences and felt that my strong practice orientation would enable me to make an effective contribution to this group. I think it is really important to learn as a profession through networking, and through the exchange and discussion of ideas. In addition I hope that the CCNAP forum will be a valuable source of support and information as I commence my PhD journey. Listen to Loreena Hill talking about nurse prescribing here
