Ekaterini Lambrinou NFESC
Chairperson of CCNAP
Founded in 2006 from the previous Working Group on Cardiovascular Nursing, CCNAP is a young and dynamic council within the large "family" of the ESC community.
Our main objective is to support nurses and allied health professionals throughout Europe to deliver the best possible care to patients with cardiovascular disease and their families. We do this through the creation and delivery of a diverse programme of activities, including education, research and mentorship.
We believe that nurses and allied health professionals play a pivotal role in cardiac care. Interventions developed, tested and implemented by nurses and allied health professionals can assist patients to prevent, adjust to and recover from cardiac illness. In the CCNAP Council, you will find a team of dedicated professionals, eager to support you in the delivery of excellent cardiovascular care. Whether you are working in practice, education or research, we welcome you and encourage you to join our Council. We are committed to your professional development.
CCNAP makes a valued contribution to the work of the ESC in its mission to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease, and our programme of work is aligned very closely with the strategic priorities of the ESC. Our programme of activities currently is focused on education, research and the mentorship and development of our community. Each year we deliver EuroHeartCare - a two day conference where the latest science and developments in practice are show cased. Also, we contribute to the scientific program of the annual ESC congress.
We have four main committees that have each developed ambitious programmes of activities under the leadership of and co-ordination of the CCNAP Board:
