Welcome to congress reports 2013

Stephan Achenbach"It is my pleasure to welcome you to the "Congress Reports" of the ESC 2013 Annual Meeting in Amsterdam. We are about to experience a conference that will exceed all standards and will boost a tremendous amount of clinically relevant and scientifically interesting information.
Especially since most of us are interested in more than just one area, it is impossible to witness even a small amount of all content "live". For this reason, the "Congress Reports" are a welcome source of information: Written usually by session chairpersons, the content of highlighted scientific sessions will be summarized.
Since the "Congress Reports" provide a uniquely useful resource both to the conference attendees and to those who cannot travel to Amsterdam, I was more than delighted to take on the position of Editor-in-Chief.
My special gratitude goes to the reporters who volunteer their time and expertise to create the "Congress Resource" and make them an especially useful piece of information.

Professor Stephan Achenbach, FESC
