The first option to access Leipzig is to go to LEIPZIG/HALLE AIRPORT (LEJ).
Leipzig/Halle Airport is very close to the city, just 22 km northwest of central Leipzig. The airport is the second biggest airport in Eastern Germany after Berlin. Trains run between the airport and the city centre every 30 minutes; the ride to the city center takes 14 minutes, and from the airport to the Congress Center Leipzig it takes only 7 minutes.
There are daily direct connections to European hubs like London Stansted, Vienna, Zurich, Istanbul, Barcelona (summer schedule)
Furthermore, there are several flights daily to major German hubs. Delegates can fly into one of these hubs, and continue from there with a short onward flight to Leipzig:

There are many direct connections to destinations throughout Europe. The train ride from Berlin to Leipzig with German Railways takes only one hour, and trains run every hour.

Delegates from Central Europe often choose GERMAN RAILWAYS as their travel options. Connections throughout Germany are quick and comfortable (distance to Hamburg or Frankfurt is 3 hours), and even for some neighboring countries, the train is an attractive option.
Leipzig’s Central Railway Station, located in the city centre, is the largest terminal railway station in Europe with 23 platforms, and a large shopping mall.
Leipzig can easily be reached by car, as it is very well connected with the Autobahn highway system. The nearest Autobahn highways are A14 (North, Northeast), A9 (West) and A38 (South).
