Case Based Learning

Do you have an interesting clinical case in the field of Acute Cardiac Care? Share it with your colleagues by contributing to the pool of clinical cases for the Case Based Learning initiative (CME).

The ESC Working Group on Acute Cardiac Care is participating to the ESC online learning opportunities by contributing to the Case Based Learning platform.

Each clinical case, submitted according to a specific template, will be reviewed by the ESC Working Group on Acute Cardiac Care nucleus and entered in the CME section once approved.
All published cases will be available to all cardiologists interested in acquiring continuing education credits.

Rules for the Authors

  • Clinical cases must be submitted according to the template (long or short) to be consistent to EBAC rules under which the CME credits are granted
  • The clinical case will undergo a review by the Nucleus board before acceptance
  • Cases should focus on topics strictly pertinent to the field of Acute Cardiac Care
  • Each new clinical case will be advertised in the Working Groups Headlines, E-publication posted to all ESC Working Group members
  • Cases must be submitted to the web editor who can provide some help in completing the templates and verifying the grammatical correctness of the text
  • The nucleus will reward the best case of the year on the basis of clinical relevance, imaging, public interest (i.e. the number of credits obtained and grade received).

Download the templates for  long cases  or  short ones  for the submission.
